Getting Started

This step-by-step guide will assist you in integrating Total Processing Card Payments & Gateway for WooCommerce into your existing WooCommerce platform. For any additional guidance & support, please reach out to the Total Processing Support Team.

WooCommerce Plugin Installation

Learn how to install WordPress by WooCommerce or by file upload. We recommend download from WooCommerce for merchants who want to install WordPress quickly and easily without needing to download any files or use FTP.

Admin Access Login

To begin the installation process, you'll need to log in to your WordPress administrative account. This can typically be done by navigating to your website's login page (which is usually located at www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin) and entering your username and password.

Add New Plugin

To add new plugins, click on the "Add New Plugin" button located either in the drop-down menu or on the top left of the web page.

After clicking "Add New Plugin", you will be directed to a directory of plugins to choose from. You can either search for a specific plugin using the search bar or browse through the available options. Once you've found the plugin you want to install, click on the "Install Now" button next to it. WordPress will automatically download and install the plugin for you.

Activating the plugin

After installation, go to your 'Installed Plugins' listing in WooCommerce and navigate to the plugin Total Processing Card Payments & Gateway for WooCommerce . Next, click on the "Activate" button next to the plugin name. Once complete, go to 'xxx' to begin configuring settings and styling.
Accessing the zip file

Before you start integrating via this method, you will need to first ensure you have downloaded the zip file from Total Processing. This will be necessary to upload to your WooCommerce platform. This can be download here Wordpress Total Processing Payments Plugin

Uploading the file

Log in to your WooCommerce administrator account and navigate to your Plugins. Click 'Upload Plugin'.

Choose the zip file you downloaded from Wordpress Total Processing Payments and click 'Install Now'.

Activating the plugin

Once installed, click on ‘Plugins’ once more and you should now see the ‘Total Processing Card Payments and Gateway for WooCommerce’ plugin. Click ‘Activate’. Once complete, go to 'xxx' to begin configuring settings and styling.

Authorisation Type	Please use the Debit (DB) method as some acquirers will not work with Pre-authorization (PA) payments	Debit (DB) transaction immediately captures payment.
Enable tokenisation?	If set to 'on', this will allow you to save card details for the customer to be used in future cases (E.G. from a customer profile). Tokenisation involves saving card details and storing them on the Total Processing payment gateway.	Off
Enable card/order items data?	If switched on, this will allow for all information related to the cart items to appear in the transaction payload.	off
Enable Dupe Payment check	If switched on, the system will automatically check payments periodically to assess if they have been succesful and actively switching the payment status to 'order successful'.	off

Logging level inclusion	Not required, and only used when enabling log activities. If requested to populate, including Critical, Debugging, Error, Information and Warning.	off

Form field text colour	Use a valid hex colour value to change the form text colour.
Background colour	When a card is tokenised on your website, on the prompts to use a stored card you have the ability to change the colour of the text and the outline of the fields.
Card storage text colour	Use a valid hex colour value to change the card storage text.
Form field background colour	When a card is tokenised on your website, on the prompts to use a stored card you have the ability to change the colour of the field's background.
Form field border radius	Allows you to change the curvature of the form field border. The higher the number, the greater the curve.
Form field border width	Console log items are activities relating to payments that are logged. Please do not switch this on unless advised by Total Processing for reviewing any issues. Please ensure 'Private Access' is also enabled, when using this feature.
Form field border colour	Allows you to set the form field border colour.
Form field margin right	Allows you to change the spacing between the form fields. If the spacing is set wider than the checkout box width, the 'CVV' field will be pushed below the 'Card Number' and 'expiry date'.
