Introduction
Merchants have the ability to not only create schedules, but to take one-off payments from customers that tie into their client record. Depending on the MID details a merchant has - ECOM or MOTO - the process for taking a manual payment will vary.
Recurring Payments: MID Setup
It is the acquirer that will need to confirm if a merchant obtains both an ECOM MID, MOTO MID or both. Depending on the setup of the MID(s) from the acquirer, the process for taking a manual payment from a client's record will vary.
Once you have confirmed the MIDs you currently have, see the table below to understand the flow you will be using. After you have captured details for your default flow - ECOM or MOTO - you can review the next sections that will detail how to use your flow in order to take manual payments. MIDs Enabled Default Flow Description ECOM & MOTO If a customer has been provided with an ECOM and MOTO MID, the default flow will be MOTO. The process for taking a manual payment for the client schedule will be: Taking a payment from the client record. MOTO Only If a customer has been provided with only a MOTO MID, the default flow will be MOTO. The process for taking a manual payment for the client schedule will be: Taking a payment from the client record. ECOM Only If a customer has been provided with only an ECOM MID, the default flow will be ECOM. The process for taking a manual payment for the client schedule will be: Sending a pay by link to the customer through the client record.
MOTO Flow: Creating a Manual Payment
If you are using either a MOTO MID setup or are using a MOTO and ECOM mid setup running parallel to each other, follow the guidance below in order to successfully take a one-off payment that ties directly to the customer's Client Record.

Part 1: Locating & Reviewing the Client Record
- Go to the navigation bar and click 'Search Clients'.
- Once the customer has been located, click on the blue icon to enter into their client record.
- Review the saved card details under the 'Registered Cards' section to ensure these are up to date.
Once the payment card details are confirmed, click on 'Next' to take you to Part 2: Taking a Payment With a Stored Payment card.

Part 2: Taking a Payment With a Stored Payment Card
- In the client record, go to the 'Registered Cards' section and click on the card icon that appears next to the saved card information.
- Expand the list and click 'Take Payment'. You can now successfully use the form to take a one-off payment from the customer that ties into their client record.
- The payment will now show in the 'Payment History' section of the client record.
ECOM Flow: Creating a Manual Payment
If you are using an ECOM MID setup, follow the guidance below in order to successfully take a one-off payment that ties directly to the customer's Client Record.

Part 2: Taking a Payment With a Stored Payment Card
- In the client record, go to the 'Registered Cards' section and click on the card icon that appears next to the saved card information.
- Expand the list and click 'Send Pay by Link'. This will automatically send a notification to the customer to perform a one-off transaction.
- Once the customer has successfully paid through the pay by link, the payment will show in the 'Payment History' section of the client record.
