Introduction to E-Terminal
Taking payments has never been easier with the Total Processing e-Terminal platform. Located as part of Total Control, the e-Terminal allows you to process transactions efficiently, with minimal wait times for your customers. This guide will provide you with all the information you need to get started processing and managing transactions through e-Terminal.
The e-Terminal feature is only available to merchants with an established MOTO MID issued by the acquirer. If you are not currently integrated with Total Processing, you can reach out to your acquirer to obtain this information. If you are already trading with Total Processing, feel free to reach out to support@totalprocessing.com.

Creating Transactions
Creating a transaction in the e-Terminal has never been faster. The video below will walk you through getting from the dashboard to the e-Terminal and inputting customer details to successfully taking a payment.

Channel |
Click on the associated channel to use for taking payments on the e-Terminal platform. This will be presented as a dropdown if you operate with multiple channels. |
Email Address |
Enter the customer's email address here. |
Reference |
Enter the reference associated with the transaction (e.g. product name or number). |
Amount |
Enter the absolute value of the transaction you need to process. |
Currency |
Choose your desired currency. Your currency listing only includes currencies set up on your merchant account. |
Recurring Type |
Leave as 'None'. |
Postcode | Enter the customer's postcode here. |
Refunding Transactions
There may be occasions where you will need to be able to refund a customer for a transaction that has been made. Within the Transactions tab in Total Control 3, you have the ability to immediately process refunds. Refer to the Transactions knowledge article for understanding how you can refund a customer in more details.
E-Terminal Dashboard
The e-Terminal page offers not only the ability to create new transactions, but to also review transactions which have been created through the e-Terminal. The following tutorial will help you to understand how to locate a specific transaction through the e-terminal using a filter. Transaction ID |
This is the ID of the transaction. Also known as the UUID. |
Created By |
Include the name of the user who created the transaction through the e-Terminal. |
Merchant Transaction ID |
This is a Merchant ID for a transaction, unique to the merchant. |
Card Holder |
Full customer name as presented on the payment card. |
Customer Email |
Full customer email. |
